How long have you been in business?
Home Care Angels has been in business since 2005 and has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2009. We have also been a Member of the Home Care Association of America since 2012.
Are your caregivers insured and bonded?
Yes. All of our caregivers are employees who are insured and bonded and have undergone a background check and fingerprinting by the Illinois State Police Department.
Will I have a choice about which caregivers come to my loved one’s house?
Yes. We work in partnership with all of our families to find the caregiver with the skills and experience to meet your expectations. We pride ourselves on finding the right fit and work closely with our clients and their families to make whatever changes are necessary. Home Care Angels is an equal opportunity employer.
Will my loved one always have the same caregiver?
Our goal is to build genuine rapport and trusting relationships with every client and their family, so we do our best to have a consistent caregiver in each home. However, if your loved one receives care for many hours in a day or at different times of day throughout the week, it may be necessary to schedule more than one caregiver. Even if multiple caregivers are required, our goal is the same, and we will do our best to accommodate all your needs and preferences.
Can I easily change or discontinue services?
Yes. We understand that circumstances can change quickly and services may need to be altered. We attempt to be as flexible as possible within the terms of our contract.
Do you provide services in assisted living facilities?
Yes. Although assisted living facilities include many senior care services, like meals and laundry, people sometimes find that they need additional help to remain independent. Home Care Angels’ experienced caregivers provide the services and supports your loved one needs to live independently.
Does Medicare pay for in-home care services?
No. Medicare covers medical expenses and does not pay for non-medical assistance or housing. We do, however, accept long-term care insurance, or if you or your spouse is a veteran, you can apply for benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Do I pay the caregiver directly?
No. Your caregiver is employed by Home Care Angels and is paid by our agency. You or your family member will be invoiced by Home Care Angels.
